Obtaining your GED credential is important for your future. The GED credential is the only high school equivalency credential recognized and awarded by all 50 states in the United States.

The GED test on computer is here!
Beginning January 2014, the GED test must be taken on computer. Any previous GED test results taken prior to January 2014, without passing, are not transferrable or valid.
A free preparation lab for the GED test is available through the College Skills Department. Students prepare for the GED test by using a specific software program designed to improve academic skills. Our instructors assist in providing personalized, self-paced instruction. Office Location and Hours
The GED Testing Center is located in Assessment Services, Plover Hall on the Santa Rosa Campus (see campus map). Regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. GED testing will be available every Friday, starting January 31, 2014.

On the Petaluma campus, the GED Testing Center is located in Jacobs Hall, room 109. Regular office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; GED testing will be available every first and third Friday, starting February 7, 2014.

How do I request Accommodations?
Each request for accommodations is considered on a case-by-case basis. You'll be asked to fill out a Request for Testing Accommodations form based on disability type available at http://www.gedtestingservice.com/ged-testing-service. In order to apply for accommodations on the computer based GED® test, you must first create a registration account and then proceed with submitting your request for official review.

What if I was already approved for accommodations for paper based testing?
If you already have been approved for testing accommodations and have tested on paper, email email@example.com and indicate that you would like to test on the computer. In the email, you should include:
If you were approved for modified testing or test accommodations from GED Testing Service® in 2013 for the GED® exam you can request that your approval be transferred to the 2014 GED® exam series.
If the accommodation approval is still current (within 12 months) you will receive an email from Pearson VUE Accommodations indicating when you may proceed with scheduling your computer based exam. If the request is not current, updated documentation and an Accommodations Extension Request Form may be submitted for review.
How do I schedule an accommodated exam?
If you are approved for accommodations, your decision letter will include a number for scheduling your GED® accommodated exam. Accommodated exams must be scheduled by calling in to Pearson VUE Accommodations and Exceptions Scheduling at (800) 466-0450. You cannot schedule a GED® accommodated exam online nor can accommodations be applied to an exam already scheduled
