I have served as the Academic Senate President at Santa Monica College 2005 to the present. And, currently I am the Co-Chair of Santa Monica College's Self Study Steering Committee (our visit is in March 2010). For the past four years I have also served as the Vice Chair on the Collegeís District Planning Council and I was the Vice Chair of the College's Strategic Planning Initiative.

As Senate President I am most proud of the work we have accomplished in the area of shared/participatory governance.
