Carolyn Arnold is the Coordinator of Institutional Research and Grants at Chabot College, where she coordinates a research analyst, a grant writer, and several student assistants to implement the institutional research agenda and grant development priorities. As the past co-chair of the planning committee and chair of Accreditation Standard I, she has taken a leadership role in the development of the college strategic plans, accreditation self-studies, and the assessment of student learning outcomes. She served on the RP Group Board from 1994 to 2000. Dr. Arnold has participated on three Accreditation teams, two with the current standards (Cypress College and Kapi’olani Community College). Before Chabot, she worked in educational research firms and taught part-time at community colleges. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology of Education and an M.S. in Statistics from Stanford University, an M.A. in Women’s Studies from San Francisco State University, and a B.A. from Smith College.
