Founded as a museum school over a century ago, the Academy Of Art College, San Francisco is a small, independent college of art and design with approximately six hundred students enrolled in its four undergraduate degree programs. The faculty of professional artists, designers and scholars is committed to challenging students intellectually, conceptually and aesthetically. The Academy has an intimate atmosphere conducive to learning, experimenting, questioning and producing. The informal environment and lack of bureaucracy encourage faculty, staff and students to take initiative — if you have a good idea, do it!
