OPERATION RED SCARE

The editorial ignores the significance of the fact that this group accused "certain instructors at SRJC [of being] in violation of California state law," that they did this in a sensational manner -- e.g. associating the targeted instructors with the act of indoctrinating a preference for "the political theory that the presently existing form of government of the United States or of this state should be changed, by force, violence, or other unconstitutional means, to a totalitarian dictatorship which is based on the principles of communism as expounded by Marx, Lenin, and Stalin" -- and that this student group did this and then admitted they have "no specific complaints, no threats or specific accusations."
