This lesson has several parts:
1. The first part of the lesson deals with setting up folders to store your work. Please create an additional folder named "client3" where you will store the HTML, CSS and images for your last client.
2. Students will also be asked to create or update the homework page which links to all the class assignments. A sample of your homework page can be found here.
3. Next students will select a Photoshop file from the PWD folder > Designs - Third Edition > 101-120-photoshop. Select a design you would like to use as a model for building a site.
4. Once you have the PSD file, modify it so it would work for a second level page, this typically involves creating more room for content and minimizing images. You may also need to add secondary navigation to the design. Save this file as a JPG which is placed on the Web.
5. Finally place color overlays where you think the div tags will be. Ave this file as a JPG and place it on the web. It is OK, if as you build the site you discover that the original plan for div tags, needs to be modified. That happens to seasoned Web professionals.
On the DVD the lesson tilted " Designing a 2nd Level Page" is the most useful for this exercise.
