SRJC Web Team Client Calendar - CS 50.31 and 50.32

Calendar of Events Spring 2012

1/23 - Instructor notifices clients if they have been assigned a team.

1/24 - 1/26 - Project Manager contacts client and sets up first meeting. Questions regarding the Web site will be sent to the client, so they can prepare answers for the First meeting.

2/7 - First Client Meeting held on or before this date- client brings as much content as they can and answers to the questions. Don't worry if you can't answer some of the questions, the team can help you resolve areas of confusion. (milestone)

1/24 thru 3/7 - Team works on preparing a web proposal based on the client information packet and information gathered at the first meeting.

2/14 - Client provides 50% of content. This may require another meeting with the team or an individual team member so that content can be delivered. Content is defined as the words on the page, images, PDF files, videos, or other miscellaneous items. (milestone)

2/21 thru 3/7 - Team continues to work on Web proposal and begins to place client content onto the Web at the shell site. Client continues to gather content.

3/7 - 3/13 Client reviews and signs off on proposal - which includes the design, storyboard, list of deliverables, and content of shell site (milestone) 100% of content submitted by 3/13, content frozen, all content is due, no content updates will be accepted past this point. The design has also been approved by this point and cannot be altered.

3/27 thru 4/10- The team creates 50% of the client site.

4/10 thru 4/24 - The team creates 100% of the client site.

4/25 - Test the site with the client. Client will be asked to provide typical users which will be included in the testing process.

4/25 thru 5/16 - Team corrects any broken links or typos which were discovered during testing (milestone)

5/22 - Handoff site to client (milestone)

5/22 - Class ends - client attends final presentation 5 - 6:30

** These are deadlines, it is fine to complete the task before the deadline, in fact it is encouraged!!
