| The completed website will
be hosted at Sonic.net, which supports server side scripting languages.
The contractors will have direct access to the server during the project
development stage, ftp access to the web, and telnet access to the
shell.
A development (dev) directory will be created
within the members' web directory to host the site during its staging,
and prior to going live. The new content will be uploaded to the
server upon completion of the design, content, programming, and
testing of the website, and the old content will be deleted.
CGI scripts will be written in Perl. A password
protected guest book (bulletin board) will be created with 3 posting
sections or options:
- Administration
- Student participants
- Program days
Members will be able to log in, and post a message
that identifies the person posting the message; the date of the
posting, and the section the message is being posted to.
A separate password protected administration section
will be created where TLT personnel can:
- Add, delete, and edit program day agendas
- Delete unwanted guest book postings
- Change passwords for
protected areas
