Tomorrow's Leaders Today Production Standards

A guide for clarity and consistency in the teams production of the site.

CODING:

• The code for the site will be created in Dreamweaver and/or BBedit.
• All HTML tags in the coding will be entered in all lower case letters.
• All file names will be in lowercase, be descriptive of what they are and use the underscore or dash when needed in place of spaces between words. (I.e.: btn_apply.gif = button apply and it is a gif file and bulletin_board.html = bulletin board and it is an HTML file)
• Alt tags will be used when ever possible.
• Comments will be included in the coding, when needed, to help in future updating of the site.

FOLDERS:

• All of the site's folders will be housed within a root folder titled "tlt" or "tomorrowsleaderstoday.org" as it apears at the Sonic website.
  
• All folder names will be in lower case and have no spaces or extensions.
  
• The folders of the site will be laid out as follows:

FOLDERS:

• tlt
     This is the root folder that will hold the HTML pages and all the other folders.
• admin    
  Holds programming script pages used for administrative purposes (I.e.: changing passwords, agenda day items).
• bulletinboard    
  Holds the files that effect the programs and TLTers bulletin boards.
• flash
  Holds the Flash swf files for the splash page.
• gallery
  Holds the images to be displayed on the gallery page of the site.
• images   
  Holds the files that make up the design elements for the site. They will end with the file extensions gif or jpg.
• library    
  Holds the copyright information .
  
• templates    
  Holds the template files that Dreamweaver uses to base the sites HTML files.
