We completed our season with a 4-4 conference record and we finished 13-14 overall. We competed in the Bay Valley Conference "A" Division–the strongest conference in northern California, and as a result our 500 record helped prepare us to play as we advanced to the NorCal Championship Playoff Tournament at Solano College. We entered the tournament as the #5 seed, ranking us higher than ever before, where we played the #4 seed, West Valley College. In our first tournament of the season, we had lost to West Valley 11-5, but the extremely challengeing game schedule we had played through all season had prepared us to face the Vikings. We were tied 4-4 with 1:37 left in the final quarter, when Kelley Graham was able to score the winning game point in our second to last possession. Upsetting the very strong West Valley team, we advanced to the northern California Semi-Finals for the first time in Lady Bear Cub hisory. In the semi's we were faced with the #1 team in the north, Merced College. We were soundly defeated by the Blue Devils in a 13-5 game, and they went on to finish 3rd in the State. We finished fourth in northern California and eighth overall in the state. We had five of our players honored with top conference awards, all of which are listed below. You can click on the name of any player to go directly to their personal stats for the season. Congratulations Lady Bear Cubs for your most successful water polo season thus far!
