CIS 75.91 Multimedia Projects
Multimedia Projects is a full semester project-based class that teaches digital communication skills in the context of the professional web design and development process, using Adobe web tools. Multimedia Projects develops four key skill areas:
- Project management and collaboration
- Design
- Research and communication
- Professional web-authoring tools
This class is the final class as part of a career-track program that focuses on digital media and web development. The Multimedia Projects class uses a project-based approach. Each project has phases that follow a design and development process, from project planning to evaluation and launch. To simulate a professional work environment, students gradually migrate their design work from an individual process to a group process and will work with clients during the second half of the semster. Students will work with the entire Design Premium Suite as well as Premiere CS4 including:
- Bridge
- Illustrator
- InDesign
- Photoshop
- Fireworks
- Flash
- Dreamweaver
- Premiere

Required Materials: Textbook: Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium Classroom in a Book, ISBN: 0-321-57391-9
Software: Design Premium CS4 and Premiere CS4 are required. You may also choose to purchase Master Collection CS4 which includes Premiere. You can also use either the Santa Rosa or Petaluma computer labs which has all the software mentioned above. Note: Premiere is currently only on the PC side.
