CIS 58.62C Advanced Dreamweaver

Course Information & Hours for Spring 2009

• Prerequisite: CIS 58.62B
• Required Materials: Dreamweaver CS4 with CSS, Ajax, and PHP by David Powers, Friends of Ed, ISBN: 978-1430216100
• Software: You will need to purchase Dreamweaver CS4 or use either the Santa Rosa or Petaluma computer labs.
• Meeting time: Class meets every Thursday 5 pm -7 pm room 2803 Maggini Hall (2nd Floor)

This course is an exploration of advanced tools and techniques in Dreamweaver CS4. We will use Dreamweaver to streamline your workflow, bring your pages alive with Ajax widgets from Spry, jQuery, and the Yahoo! User Interface Library, use server-side includes, templates, and Adobe's InContext Editing online service, create dynamic web applications using Dreamweaver's PHP server behaviors, build real world web site functions, such as form validation, random quote generator, search function, user management/login pages, dynamic Ajax gallery, and much more. (Credit course for grade or CR/NC)
