The Institutional Planning Council (IPC) is recommending six institutional goals for the 2004/05 to 2005/06 academic years. IPC has committed to monitoring goal achievement and reporting back to the college community on progress towards meeting the goals. In addition, IPC recommends that a new value statement be added to our mission statement.
The college will document clear processes and procedures for linking and tracking budget to planning.
The college will develop a comprehensive program of student learning outcomes assessment, the data and analysis from which will drive a cycle of continuous improvement based on a culture of evidence.
The college will promote environmentally sound policies and practices in the planning, development and maintenance of our facilities and campuses.
The college will advocate for institutional interests and needs with decision-makers at the local, state and national levels on a regular basis.
The college will commit resources to create greater employee diversity (cultural, ethnic, gender, age).
The college will further develop multi-campus organizational structures and operational procedures that clarify district-wide relationships and practices and promote equity and consistency for students, faculty and staff throughout the district.
