ISW/PSW Reservation Form
PARTICIPANTS: Administrators, managers, classified
staff
LENGTH: 24 hours, over a period of 4 days
FACILITATORS: Two trained PSW Facilitators
NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 5
The PSW model is a variation of the Instructional
Skills Workshop (ISW) model designed to provide administrative and
classified staff with an opportunity to improve presentation and feedback
skills.
- To provide participants a safe laboratory environment
in which to practice presentation skills.
- To provide participants the opporunity to develop
a strong campus-based support system so they can continue to get peer
feedback on their presentation.
Participants will:
- Review basic components of effective presentations.
- Design, develop, and deliver three brief presentations.
- Receive written, oral, and video feedback.
After completing a PSW, or concurrent with participation,
participants can be trained as PSW Facilitators during an additional 16
hours. After completing Facilitator training, or concurrent with participation,
participants can be trained as PSW Facilitator Trainers during an additional
8 hours.
