Contract Faculty
On day one, all regular full-time faculty are required to participate in three hours of scheduled sessions and three hours of departmental activities. On day two, regular faculty must attend six hours of scheduled program activities, unless a flex contract was filed by July 1st, 2003.

All contract faculty teaching at a percentage less than 100% are required to participate in activities equivalent to the percentage of hours of their employment on each of the two days. (60% assignment = 7.2 hours)

Adjunct Faculty
All adjunct faculty who teach semester-length credit classes are required to participate in the number of hours of activities equivalent to the number of hours normally taught on Thursday and Friday. The total number of hours required may be satisfied by attendance on either of the two days.

Attendance & Verification
Faculty with semester-length assignments are released from their regular duties to attend professional development activities and are paid for such attendance. Attendance verification is required by the Chancellor’s Office. Attendance is to be reported on the Attendance Verification Form and is to be submitted to the Academic Affairs Office. Verification forms will be available at PDA Days, in departments, and in Academic Affairs. (or download Verification form in PDF format here.)

Adjunct faculty who teach non-credit or less than semester-length courses for Fall, 2003 are invited to attend but will not be paid for such attendance.

Flex Contract
Activities may be substituted in lieu of attendance on Friday, August 15th only with a pre-approved Flex Contract. Deadline for submission was July 1st, 2003.

Administrators and Classified Staff
All management and classified staff are encouraged to attend. No attendance verification is necessary.
