Course SLO Assessment

1. Identify or change Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) for an existing course 1. SLO Revision Flow Chart (PDF)
2. Submit through Curriculum process. See sample Changes to Existing Course Form (Word doc).
Use online form through Changes to Existing Course form in CATS curriculum database
2. Review the procedures for conducting an SLO assessment at the course level Fall 2012 Course SLO Assessment Procedures (Word doc)
 
3. View completed course assessments Fall 2012 Completed Assessments List
Requires log-in with Outlook login and password.
 
4. Initiate an SLO assessment for a course Download the SharePoint Instructions document
Project LEARN SharePoint site - enter your assessment report here (requires Outlook login and password)
Fill out parts 1 and 2 only.

6. Follow up on an SLO assessment Access the Project LEARN SharePoint site (requires Outlook login and password) Assessment of courses may occur after changes are made or on a 6 year cycle. Describe earlier assessment in Part 2 of form.

9. Review the procedures for adding or changing SLOs to a certificate or major SLO Revision Flow Chart (PDF)  
10. Add or change SLOs to a certificate or major List SLOs in Word and submit through Curriculum Process. See Certificate/Major Revision Form (Word doc).  
11. Complete a Program Map 1. Use the Certificate/Major Map Instructions (PDF)
2. Use the Certificate/Major Map Template (Word doc)
 
12. Assess all SLOs in a certificate or major cumulatively by assessing all course SLOs Use the Certificate/Major Map Template (Word doc)  
13. Assess one or more SLOs in a certificate or major Same as #4
