Study Italian in Italy

Live in the charming mountain town of Urbania, Italy, high above the Adriatic Sea while you study Italian for three weeks at the Centro Studi Italiani. You'll live with an Italian family or in your own apartment and experience the Italy that tourists never see! Italian classes are offered in the mornings, leaving your afternoons free for optional field trips, or classes in painting, ceramics, or cooking. No previous experience in Italian is necessary! Costs include books and tuition at Centro Studi Italiani and a bilingual escort while in Urbania. A custom four-day, three-night trip to a medieval pageant in Ascoli-Piceno and the Umbria Jazz festival in Perugia, the Adriatic resort of San Benedetto del Tronto and Assisi is available at an additional cost. Bus transportation to and from the airport in Bologna is also available at an additional cost. Airfare and housing not included in base price; however, assistance in selecting your guaranteed homestay or apartment accommodations and strategies for finding the best airfares will be provided.

Fee
$1356 ($675 deposit due by Feb. 1, 2008; balance due by March 7, 2008)
Note refund policy: The deposit is refundable, minus a $50 processing fee if the student cancels, in writing, prior to March 7. After March 7, none of the fees are refundable)
Additional Fees
Optional three-night, four-day trip is $965
Optional round trip bus transportation to and from the airport in Bologna is approximately $90 ($45 one way)

Presenter: Gino Muzzatti
Gino Muzzatti, a member of SRJC's faculty since 1985, teaches Italian and English as a Second Language. He attended Centro Studi Italiani and has his bachelor's and master's degrees from San Francisco State University. He also studied at the University of Perugia and the University of Florence in Italy. Gino will serve as the group's leader during the stay in Italy. He has led five previous tours to Urbania.
