Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis. The program could close prior to the published deadline if classes are full. A $450 deposit is due with your application. You can obtain an application by calling (707) 527-4441, dropping by Room 1330 Bailey Hall on the SRJC campus, or by sending an e-mail to ljohns@santarosa.edu.
Program Costs
$450 deposit
Basic Fee (approximate)
$3,675 (includes $450 deposit due with application, shared accommodations in twin-bedded rooms, three meals per day in the homestay where the student is living, limited laundry service, three-day/two-night guided excursion to Tortuguero National Park, three-day/two-night guided excursion to Monteverde Cloud Forest and two-day/one night excursion to Arenal Volcano National Park, medical and fee refund insurance, and a number of subsidized cultural and social activities).
This fee does not include airfare.
Optional Fees
$495 (plus airport taxes/fees estimated at $413), class registration fees, textbooks, passport and visa fees, and other personal expenses. Students should plan on having at least $1,500 in spending money to cover expenses beyond enrollment fees, the program fee, and plane tickets.
Other Fees
$125 - Refundable damage deposit
