To apply for the Chile Study Abroad Program, the student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.25 and have completed at least 12 transferrable college units at the time the student applies. In addition, the student must be 18 years of age at the time of boarding the airplane. Students who do not meet these minimum qualifications should refer to the information about Provisional Student Enrollment below.
Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis (refer to Student’s Steps to Enrollment Form for directions).
Provisional SRJC Study Abroad Students: Students who do NOT meet the application criteria (of required number of units and/or of required grade point average [GPA] for the Study Abroad Program) may use their current semester transcript in progress to assist with meeting the criteria BUT MAY NOT ENROLL in the AIFS-SRJC Study Abroad Program UNTIL AFTER mid-term grades are posted AND they can demonstrate they are enrolled in 12 transferrable college units or more with a midterm GPA of 2.25 or better.
After meeting these criteria, students may be allowed to apply for the AIFS-SRJC Study Abroad Program under “provisional” status. Provisional students will not be officially accepted into the program until after their final grades of the semester have been posted.
Once you have applied online through AIFS, you will be contacted by SRJC’s Study Abroad Office for an appointment. Please fill out the forms below and bring them to your appointment:
