Barcelona Application Information

To start the Application Process: click on Student’s Steps to Enrollment Form (PDF) for step-by-step directions.

Minimum Qualifications for SRJC’s Study Abroad Program

To apply for the Barcelona Study Abroad Program, the student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.25 and have completed at least 12 transferrable college units at the time the student applies. In addition, the student must be 18 years of age at the time of boarding the airplane. Students who do not meet these minimum qualifications should refer to the information about Provisional Student Enrollment below.

Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis (refer to Student’s Steps to Enrollment Form for directions) and because classes have limited enrollment, students are encouraged to apply early in order to reserve a spot in the classes of their choice.

Priority Application Deadline: April 13, 2012 (Barcelona)
AIFS Final Application Deadline: May 11, 2012 (Barcelona)
Late Applications Deadline (on a space available basis): June 15, 2012

Provisional Student Enrollment

Provisional SRJC Study Abroad Students: Students who do NOT meet the application criteria (of required number of units and/or of required grade point average [GPA] for the Study Abroad Program) may use their current semester transcript in progress to assist with meeting the criteria BUT MAY NOT ENROLL in the AIFS-SRJC Study Abroad Program UNTIL AFTER mid-term grades are posted AND they can demonstrate they are enrolled in 12 transferrable college units or more with a midterm GPA of 2.25 or better.

After meeting these criteria, students may be allowed to apply for the AIFS-SRJC Study Abroad Program under “provisional” status. Provisional students will not be officially accepted into the program until after their final grades of the semester have been posted.
