On Saturday, September 7, 2013, from 8:00am to 5:00pm, SRJC's Public Safety Training Center in Windsor will hold Career Day for individuals interested in public safety, including law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical care. The eight-hour training offers credit for AJ 714 - Law Enforcement Career Day (8 hours), and teaches participants about public safety career opportunities, including job dimensions and Basic Academy training requirements. There is no cost for the course but parking is $4.00 (exact change) in campus lots. Parking regulations are enforced on Saturdays.
Participants should bring a bag lunch and beverage and a ball-point pen and a pencil.
Wear loose clothing, preferably sweat pants and shirt or a jogging suit. Quality running shoes are recommended for some light physical training activity.
To register, participants can come in person in advance to the Santa Rosa, Petaluma or Windsor sites. Check at SRJC Registration for days and times of registration. Students must register either online or in person prior to event start date.
For students with current SRJC Applications on file, registration is available by going to www.santarosa.edu.
High school students are welcome but they must submit a concurrent enrollment form as well as a current SRJC application for admission and registration prior to September 3, 2013.
