Selection Process
The Human Resources Department will complete the initial screening of applications, in coordination with Professional Personnel Leasing, Inc. This review will include screening for the required and preferred qualifications and the completeness of the application packet. Qualified candidates will be forwarded to the Presidential Search Advisory Committee.
Interviewees will be reimbursed for the reasonable expenses associated with participating in the interview process, for a maximum reimbursement of $300 for in-state candidates and $600 for out-of-state candidates (per visit).
The Human Resources Department will notify all candidates of the results of the screening process. The Search Committee will identify the first group of invitees. Once candidates have confirmed their interview appointments with Human Resources, permission will be requested for reference checks to be done by the District's consultants. Reference checking will be done only after candidates give written permission.

| December 13, 2011 | Formal announcement of Dr. Chong’s appointment |
| January 11, 2012 | Dr. Chong’s appointment will commence |
