COMMUNICATION WITH THE PUBLIC (PUBLIC INFORMATION PROGRAM)
ADOPT: APRIL 8, 1985
REVIEWED: APRIL 10, 2001

The Board establishes a public information program and designates the Public Information Officer to obtain the following District goals:

1. To gather and disseminate all relevant information about the District in view of the principle that in a political and social democracy the public is entitled to be fully informed about public institutions.

2. To increase public recognition of the District's superior levels of instruction - both academic and occupational.

3. To maintain communication among all internal segments of the College community.

4. To enhance the prestige of the instructional program.

5. To enhance the prestige of the faculty.
