ED CODE: 88009, 88010
GOVERNMENT CODE: 3540
SEIU Article 7 (2000-03)
The Board of Trustees recognizes that duties of a position may change from time to time that would warrant a reclassification. The basis for reclassification of a position must be a gradual accretion of duties.
Any classified employee receiving a reclassification to a higher salary range shall be moved to the appropriate range and step of the new class to insure not less than a five (5%) per cent salary increase as a result of that reclassification, except that the unit member may be placed on the last step of the appropriate range if that is the maximum allowable for that class.
An employee who has been reclassified with his/her position shall be ineligible for subsequent reclassification with his/her position for a period of at least three years from the initial action.
