ADOPT: JUNE 12, 2001
ED CODE: 84756-7
TITLE 5: 55001-2

It is the intent of the College to recognize the importance of noncredit programs and courses to support these offerings. The Board authorizes noncredit programs and courses when it is apparent that the College is the most appropriate provider for such offerings and has the resources to develop them. Such offerings may include courses and programs for parenting, elementary and secondary basic skills, English as a second language, citizenship, persons with substantial disabilities, short-term vocational programs with high employment potential, older adults, home economics, and health and safety education.

Additionally, the District may offer ancillary services to noncredit students that include counseling, advisement, orientation and assessment.
