The Sonoma County Junior College District as part of its mission and educational program, shall maintain an organized program for men and women in intercollegiate athletics. The purpose of Intercollegiate athletics is to create the opportunity for students to participate in an environment that encourages personal growth, improved self-esteem, discipline, assertiveness, persistence, sensitivity to others, and emotional control through a program of intercollegiate competition. The College shall maintain specific state regulations, procedures, and detail regarding student-athlete participation.
