MAJOR REQUIREMENT OF THE ASSOCIATE DEGREE

Each student who receives an associate degree at SRJC shall complete a major course of study in addition to fulfilling the general education requirements for the degree. Majors provide appropriate coherence, focus, depth, sequencing of courses and synthesis of learning, as well as length and breadth of knowledge. A major shall consist of at least one of the following:
an approved occupational certificate of 18 units or more;
an approved "other award" of 18 units or more.
