Using RULES to help with email organization.
This example will show how to automatically move email from DL.STAFF.ALL to a separate folder for review at a later time.
NOTE: Even though this example shows messages being redirected to a folder outside your Inbox, the messages in this folder will still contribute to your total mailbox size. You must remember to periodically check for and delete messages in this folder or you will eventually exceed your storage limit.

| Start Outlook 2001 |
Turn your Folder List view on |
 |
In the Folder List view, select Mailbox - Your User Name |
 |
Create a new folder for storing the email
Select File -> New -> Folder... |
 |
You will see the following window |

Type in DL.Staff.All in this example. And click on OK |

You will see the created folder in the list |
 |
Now we will create the rule
Select Tools -> Rules... |
 |
The following windows appears
Click the Add Rule... button |
 |
Click on the Sent To... button |
 |
This following window appears
Type dl. in the box
Select DL.STAFF.ALL and click the TO-> button |
 |
Click the Move to checkbox and click on the Folder... button |
 |
Click on the triangle next to Mailbox - Your Name |
 |
Select the DL.Staff.All folder
Click on the OK button |
 |
The window should look like this |

And finally, click on the OK button to finish |
