Career Center
The Career Center offers you an opportunity to assess your skills, interests and values so you can get a better idea of who you are and what you want to do. Our staff is trained to help with career planning through exploration and use of our resources. We also offer Career Counseling, Career Assessment, and Career Development classes, including an online class (Counseling 61.2). Resources include an extensive library and interactive computer programs including: DISCOVER, SIGI-PLUS, EUREKA, Resume Writing, CollegeSource, and the Internet.

Community Involvement
You can earn college credit for community volunteer work by signing up for Community Involvement 52. This course enables students to pursue their educational experience beyond the campus and further their academic and personal goals on a voluntary basis.

Student Employment
The college maintains a free employment service for past and present SRJC students seeking part or full-time employment. You can register with the employment service anytime during the year, but you must re-register each semester to stay in the active file. Job opportunities are posted on a bulletin board outside the office.

Work Experience
Work Experience combines work with instruction that assists students to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to enter and/or progress in a chosen occupation. You can earn transferable college credit, relate your education to work experience, increase your potential to advance and learn to sell your skills to an employer. Intern positions are also available for qualified students.
