The Physical Education, Dance and Athletics Department offers
student participation on 20 men's and women's athletic teams, serving approximately
500 student-athletes each year. The college belongs to the Northern California Football
Alliance in football and the Bay Valley Conference for all other sports. In order
to be eligible for intercollegiate athletics, the student athlete must be enrolled
in 12 units, 9 of which must be academic in nature. More information is available
by calling 527-4237. The SRJC Bookstores on both campuses sell and rent new and used
textbooks, as well as reference and general reading books, school and office supplies,
and other items. Buy back texts that will be used the following semester and provide
a special refund policy for textbooks during the first three weeks of each semester. District police officers provide 24 hour, 7 days a week patrols
enforcing all California laws and district policies. Non-sworn personnel provide
parking enforcement, and other services, such as campus door openings, battery jumps,
and fingerprinting. The office staff maintains lost and found, sells parking permits,
and reviews parking citations. Crimes occurring on or about District properties are
investigated by district police officers. There are computer labs at the Santa Rosa and Petaluma campuses that are available to enrolled students for doing assignments. Visit each lab to learn what specific criteria and procedures are required for use of the facility, and pick up a schedule for additional hours. Note: A photo ID is required for all computer labs. Services include academic planning, career counseling and testing, personal counseling, assistance with study skills and problems affecting school performance. Counselors are available by appointment or on a drop-in basis. Bertolini Student Center, 2nd floor, Santa Rosa, 527-4451 Provides a student copy resource center with access to staff, services and equipment to support student projects. The CyBear Center offers computer use, color and black & white copying, laminating, faxing, scanning and handling services. Bertolini Student Center, 1st floor, 522-2638 The Doyle Library on the Santa Rosa Campus and the Mahoney Library on the Petaluma Campus have an excellent collection of books, periodicals, a comprehensive reference collection, computer-based information sources, and collections of text books, college catalogs, and telephone books. Videotapes and other media are also available. There is an extensive electronic database which you can access from the campus labs or from your home computer. Services include small group in-person orientations. Bertolini Student Center, 2nd floor, Counseling Department
527-4375 Robert Call Child Development Center Five childcare classrooms serve children from 6 months to 5
years of age. The center is open during fall and spring semesters and closed in the
summer. In addition to providing exemplary childcare, the center serves as a model
demonstration program for child development students and student teachers. The program
is accredited through the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs. Both subsidized
and non-subsidized childcare is offered. Telephone for waiting list registration

Student Affairs & Associated Students If you join Associated Students (during registration or later) you are eligible for many benefits, including: discount on parking fees, free or discounted admissions to many campus events, discounts from local merchants, and eligibility for Book Loan Fund. Bertolini Student Center, 1st floor, 527-4424 All students enrolled in credit courses(s) are eligible to
participate in Student Health Services programs and receive care through the Health
Center. Services include Nurse Practitioner and Physician care for students who are
ill, injured or have health concerns, first aid and basic emergency care, health
education, health screenings, community referrals, immunizations and TB screenings. Race Building, Room 4017,
Santa Rosa, 527-4445 Santa Rosa Junior College's International Studies program provides students with the opportunity to take advantage of educational opportunities abroad while continuing to progress in their regular college curriculum. Students receive college credit for courses offered in London, Paris, Florence, and Costa Rica. Courses, which are taught by American faculty and offered in English, are designed to take advantage of the unique cultural, historical, economic and political aspects of the countries in which the students are visiting. Transfer Center It is the mission of the SRJC Transfer Center to meet the needs of students preparing to transfer to a bachelor’s degree program by providing accurate, up-to-date information and a set of coordinated resources, activities, and services that support the transfer process.
