in your portal, choose the “Add/Drop/Register” option.
- Use the
4-digit section numbers to indicate the specific time and location of each class
in which you wish to enroll.
- Make sure you complete all steps of the online
registration process. You must proceed to check out and finalize your class schedule.
Check your schedule AFTER you have completed your registration. Print your schedule
for your own reference.
When to Register for Classes
- Priority registration is for students currently taking classes at SRJC, and new or returning students who
have completed an orientation.
- Students earning Priority 5 by completing
this orientation will be able to view their priority time the day before Priority
5 registration begins. Check your student portal under the link called "Priority
Registration".
- Open registration is for new students, students returning
to SRJC after an absence of one semester or more, and high school concurrent enrollment
students. All students are allowed to register during open registration. Open registration
occurs after the completion of priority registration.
- Please check the
Academic Calendar on the SRJC home page to view current dates for registration. www.santarosa.edu/schedules/academic_calendar/
- In-person
registration is available only on a limited basis one week before the start of a
semester.
Locations
Classes are offered at many locations. Pay careful
attention to the location of the courses. SRJC courses meet at both the Santa Rosa
and Petaluma campuses as well as many other locations throughout Sonoma County.
Pay
Fees
- Fees are set by the California state legislature and are subject to change.
- You
have the option to pay by credit card during the registration process, or to submit
payment in person or by mail after completing registration.
- Students who
qualify for the Board of Governors’ Fee Waiver (BOG) will have most registration
fees waived. Applications for the BOG are in the Financial Aid Office or online at
www.santarosa.edu/app/paying-for-college/financial_aid_office/Forms/.
- Parking
Permit: If you pay for a parking permit while registering, it will be mailed to you.
It takes up to 2 weeks to receive your permit. You can pick up a temporary permit
at District Police on the Santa Rosa Campus. If you order a parking permit while
registering for your classes, but do not pay for it during registration, you can
go to Accounting or District Police to pay for and pick up your parking permit.
Tip
Make a list of possible courses and alternate options before
you begin your registration process. Use the online Schedule of Classes and choose "Text" to find classes.
The schedule will show if a class is Open, Closed or if it has a seat left on the
Waiting List. If you are having difficulty finding open classes, you might also want
to use the "Advanced Search" feature within the Schedule of Classes.
