16.5 Units
Certificates of Completion give competency in specific skills that may enable the student to upgrade or advance in an existing career. These certificates are generally of short duration and narrow in scope. Completion Certificates are not designed to provide the qualifications necessary to enter a job or career.

The Landscape Technician Certificate program is designed as one rung in a career ladder. Students gain skills equipping them to work in a variety of landscape professions. Since a core component of the courses is also required for other SRJC horticulture certificate programs, students may earn the Landscape Management or the Nursery Management Career Certificate by completing additional courses.
The program emphasizes hands-on learning and most courses incorporate lab activities that apply knowledge and skills in realistic settings. The program is actively supported by the local horticulture industry. The Landscape Technician Certificate will be awarded upon fulfillment of the 16.5 units of requirements with a "C" grade or better.
The requirements for this certificate are effective beginning the semester shown below. If you began working on this certificate before the effective semester, you may not be affected by any changes to the program. Consult with the program advisor to determine your eligibility to complete the certificate under previous requirements.
