The advent of computer assisted design technology in the landscape industry adds a new dimension to skill and training requirements for landscape and garden designers. Industry-wide expansion in Sonoma County's landscape industry, the accompanying demand for employees with landscape design skills, and the emerging standard of computer aided drafting contribute to students' need to augment their design and drafting expertise with computer aided drafting skills.
