Administration of Justice/Public Safety

Certificates of Completion give competency in specific skills that may enable the student to upgrade or advance in an existing career. These certificates are generally of short duration and narrow in scope. Completion Certificates are not designed to provide the qualifications necessary to enter a job or career.

This 8 week program prepares the student to work in a national park, wildlife refuge or other recreation area as a law enforcement officer. It includes instruction in both academics and skills.
Basic Law Enforcement training approved by the Federal Government to qualify graduates for seasonal employment in National parks, wildlife refuges and other recreation areas.
The requirements for this certificate are effective beginning the semester shown below. If you began working on this certificate before the effective semester, you may not be affected by any changes to the program. Consult with a counselor or department chair to determine your eligibility to complete the certificate under previous requirements.
