Administration of Justice/Public Safety

Certificates of Completion give competency in specific skills that may enable the student to upgrade or advance in an existing career. These certificates are generally of short duration and narrow in scope. Completion Certificates are not designed to provide the qualifications necessary to enter a job or career.

This course is designed to prepare the "entry level" public safety dispatcher to meet the minimum performance standards for employment. This is a state required course for employment within the California Public Safety Dispatcher system. As a part of the course, the student will be given an opportunity to participate in and improve their skills in the public safety dispatcher system.
The requirements for this certificate are effective beginning the semester shown below. If you began working on this certificate before the effective semester, you may not be affected by any changes to the program. Consult with a counselor or Contact Person to determine your eligibility to complete the certificate under previous requirements.
