MESA Tutors

The backbone of MESA's academic assistance is its team of dedicated peer tutors. The tutors are the “people” part of MESA, bringing life to the MESA Student Center.  MESA peer tutors work as SRJC student employees under the direction of the MESA Program Coordinator. MESA students are encouraged to apply their expanding content knowledge and leadership skills to the art of working as a peer tutor. Each semester MESA opens new tutoring positions; MESA students receive first hiring privileges.

All tutorial services take place in the MESA Student Center located in Building 22 - Room 2291, the Lark Temps

RAPHAEL

Name: Raphael

Major: Electrical Engineering

Educational Goal: Building more efficient electronics

I like tutoring because I get to learn more than one way of doing things, which in turn brings about a blending of ideas.  This is especially true in subjects such as mathematics where a different point of view can help others understand complex concepts.  Tutoring will help prepare for me work in the field of engineering where various possibilities are considered when seeking solutions.
