MESA at Santa Rosa Junior College
Building 22, Lark
Temps |
The MESA Campus Council first convened in 1999 to provide a meeting forum for campus input into the creation of the MESA Community College Program at Santa Rosa Junior College. Drawing upon the expertise of many campus programs and departments, the MESA Campus Council continues to serve in an advisory capacity to the program.
In 2002, the MESA Campus Council recommended student participation in the council’s decision-making process. Anthony Choi served as the first student representative on the SRJC MESA Campus Council.
In 2004, the MESA Campus Council joined the Local Industry Advisory Board, where both entities now meet and work to support MESA’s vision and mission.
The Campus Council’s original desire to include MESA students in the design of the program’s services exists today in the form of a MESA Student Leadership Team. For the 2003-2004 school year, the MESA Student Leadership Team endeavored to create an endowed MESA Scholarship Program housed within the SRJC Foundation. To date, the Student Leadership Team has raised a little over $6,000 toward the $10,000 needed for an endowed scholarship fund.
So, ….
What do you appreciate most about the MESA program on campus?
Do you have an idea that might improve the program?
Is there something new that MESA could do to further support the success of its members?
The MESA Campus Council Welcomes Your Input Through Your Participation.
