Academic Excellence Workshops

Academic Excellence Workshops* (AEW) are part discussion group, part problem solving. Taking the basic concepts a step further, the workshops go hand-in-hand with selected math, physics, biology and chemistry courses. Academic Excellence Workshops emphasize group interaction, communication, and content mastery. Typically, AEW groups meet once a week for two hours. All session meet in the MESA Center. Academic Excellence Workshops are not meant to be drop-in tutorial sessions.

During the fall semester, AEW offerings feature tutor facilitated workshops.  In the spring, the emphasis shifts to student self-directed study groups.
