Video Conferencing Information
The College has the ability
to provide video conferencing services to the campus and the community. The
College has video conferencing systems located in
Fees
All uses of the system (both
college functions and public use) will result in a direct charge back of any
connection fees including related telecommunications taxes. Calls between
College
use
If the Department or Program
requires an operator for setup or operation, Media Services will hire a
technician to support the event. The hourly rate is approximately $15/hr with a
minimum of 2 hours. College events are coordinated directly by Media Services.
No Room fees are charged.
The following uses require
Facility application forms and will be coordinated through the college's
Community Education Department. A $25 processing fee will apply (Please
CONTACT Community Education to confirm group CATEGORY. All
fees subject to CHANGE.)
A.) Non-profit and public agencies when event is free and open to the public
Media Services shall provide personnel to setup and operate the system. These personnel shall be present during the entire event. An extra 30 minutes should be allocated for setup and testing. Any required "pre-testing" would be billed at the same hourly rate. The rate for both labor & equipment is $60/hr. Room fees are from the first column.
B.) Non-profit and public agencies when admission fees or MONEYS are collected
Media Services shall provide personnel to setup and operate the system. These personnel shall be present during the entire event. An extra 30 minutes should be allocated for setup and testing. Any required "pre-testing" would be billed at the same hourly rate. The rate for both labor & equipment is $60/hr. Room fees are from the second column.
C.) Commercial, or Religious organizations for religious services
Media Services shall provide personnel to setup and operate the system. These personnel shall be present during the entire event. An extra 30 minutes should be allocated for setup and testing. Any required "pre-testing" would be billed at the same hourly rate. The rate for both labor & equipment is $175/hr. Room fees are from the third column.
Technical & Site Specific Information:
The College uses Tandberg video conferencing systems. Both Santa Rosa and Petaluma locations have ISDN based with a maximum rate of 384K (6B channels), IP Based or CENIC H.323 connectivity.
The ISDN conferencing number is 707 545-5698.
Conferencing is available in four rooms .
Doyle 4245 &4246 (room fee $14, $28, $56/ hour)
Seating of 44 for 4245 and 66 for 4246 people. Room has a projection system that is interfaced to the conferencing units output. Food and drinks are allowed in this room.
Doyle Library 4248 & 4249 (room fee $7, $14, $28/ hour)
Both these rooms seat a maximum of 10 people for video conferencing. Food and drinks are allowed in these rooms.
The conferencing number is 707 765-0610. Unit is a single monitor based system. The 35" monitor is for both conferencing and snapshots. A document camera is also available.
Mahoney Room 154 (room fee $7, $14, $28/ hour)
This room seats a maximum of 15 people for video conferencing. Food or drinks are allowed in this room.
Mahoney Room 155 (room fee $7, $14, $28/ hour)
This room seats a maximum of 5 people for video conferencing. Food or drinks are allowed in this room.
