I have been the lab coordinator of the MCL since it's inception - 1987. The lab started with the " hammer & chisel" computer technology - MacPluses /Apple IIes to the present "power tools" Macintosh G5s .The students level of computer competency has also increased with the newer technology. Computer technology is being incorporated into more curriculum, and the student use has increased accordingly. It's exciting to be a part of this change and to coordinate lab operations to meet the challenge and provide a pleasant and comfortable learning and working environment.
This is the "launching & taking out" point on the beach at Jenner across from Penny Island. Kayaking the Russian River is a very pleasant experience. Plenty of seals, birds, and ducks to greet you; and if you plan your day according to the tides, the return trip can be just as pleasant.
