Oregonensis is found as far north as S. Bentinck
Arm and Kitlope R. in SW British Columbia (not shown on this map).
Westward and southwestward, oregonensis intergrades
with the subspecies picta.
Southward from Oregon, oregonenis intergrades with
xanthoptica. The range extends to the Russian River near Healdsburg,
Glen Ellen and Napa, and further southward to Santa Cruz where it abruptly
intergrades with the subspecies xanthoptica, points of incipient
species formation.
Southeastward from Oregon, oregonensis intergrades
with platensis. The range extends to Mount Lassen where
it abruptly intergrades with the subspecies platensis, another
point of incipient species formation.
