IMPROVING YOUR GRADES
DEDICATION
You chose to come to college. You are not required to be here, so make the best of it. Students just out of high school frequently do not know what their career goals are or what may interest them the most. That is understandable and expected. However, if you just as well be skiing or working for money, then quit. Don't stay in college wasting your time and distracting others. You must be dedicated to the life of a college student who is determined to get a degree that is a sound basis for a career, and be a success in life.
Dedicate your primary efforts towards a career goal or transferring to a university.
Dedicate most of your time to your studies when not in class or lab.
Dedicate your attention to your instructors while in class, not to socializing with your friends. There is no question that social life and developing relationships is of profound importance, but use good judgement about when to socialize. Do NOT expect to socialize during class time. It is rude and inconsiderate, not only to your instructors, but also to your fellow students. Do not be a distraction by carrying on private conversations with a potential date or your friends, while others are attempting to concentrate on the subject of a course and make progress towards a career goal.
