** No Lab Report required for Summer Course
Grades will be calculated as a percent of the average
of the top three students exam scores for each exam as follows:
90 - 100% A
80 - 89% B
60 - 79% C
50 - 59% D
0 - 49% F
- (1) There are NO
makeup exams under any circumstances. Note that the lowest score of the 100 point exams or
lab practicals will be dropped at the end of the semester. The justification for missing
any exam is some emergency, and not because you were poorly prepared. If you miss more
than one exam for ANY reason (including death in the family, illness, earthquakes,
volcanism or thermonuclear war), you will receive a zero for that exam. Thus a valid
medical excuse does not qualify you for a makeup exam, since
there are no makeup exams. (See #6 below)
- (2) Under NO circumstances will an examination, quiz or lab
practical date be changed unless it is in writing by the instructor or
instructional aide.
- (3) ALL observations in the laboratory manual will be
covered unless omitions are indicated by the instructor or instructional aide in
writing.
- (4) There are NO makeup Lab
Practicals, however you may for good cause and advanced permission, schedule your lab
practical during another laboratory period which has a practical exam scheduled for that
same week.
- (5) There will be a 20% penalty for each school day the lab report
is late.
- (6) Any Lecture exam may be taken early. See the instructor well in
advance.
When you hear an exception to the above guidelines, ASK the
instructor or instructional aide. Do not depend on other students for such information.
NOTE!! Anyone missing the FINAL EXAM for any reason
will fail the course regardless of previous scores.
