Printing and Photocopying

In Doyle Library there is a Print and Copy Center with a black and white printer, a color printer and a photocopy machine on each floor. Computers on each floor are networked to the printers in the Print and Copy Center on the same floor. Computers in Mahoney Library are networked to the printers in the Print and Copy Center on the first floor.

All black and white printing and photocopying costs $0.10 per printed page. Color prints cost $0.50.

You'll need a "print card". To buy a card, use the vending machines in the Print and Copy Centers on the second or fourth floor in Doyle, or the first floor in Mahoney. Cards cost $1 and are initially loaded with $1 for immediate use. Instructions are on the front of the vending machine.

Printing From the Library Computers

1. Select Print from the File menu as usual. This will send your item to the Print and Copy Center on your floor. Mahoney Library has only one Print and Copy Center, on the first floor.
2. Write down the code for the computer you are using. It's on the white tape on the front of your computer--something like B02-6342. You'll need this to figure out which item is yours when you get to the Print and Copy Center to pick up your copies.
3. Go to the Print & Copy Center on your floor.
4. Obtain a print card if you don't yet have one. Purchase one from the vending machine and put some money on it.
5. Insert your print card into the small box next to the computer in the Print and Copy Center.
6. On the computer screen, find the code number for the computer from which you sent your print job, and click on it.
7. Select your print job from the list of items that appears on the screen and click on it.
8. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete your print job.
