If you have access to the Internet from your home or office computer, you may search the SRJC Library's catalog and use the Library's webpages and Internet Reference Collection.
However, the Library's license agreements with the publishers of our online databases, e-journals and e-books require that only current SRJC students, faculty and staff be given access to these resources.
In order to prove to the publishers' computers
that you are a legitimate SRJC user, you'll be asked for some identification
information whenever you try to access one of these online resources
from off campus .
When you try to access a database, an article or an e-book from off campus, the system will ask you for your SRJC student ID number and your portal PIN number. (A portal PIN number will be assigned
to you the first time you use the portal
system.) Once you enter your ID number and PIN, you'll be able
to use the databases, e-journals and e-books just as if you were
on campus. (If you don't remember your student ID number or your SRJC PIN, log in to the student or faculty portal, select "I do not know my ID number" or "I do not know my PIN code," then follow the instructions to have your information e-mailed to you. )
In case you are not a current SRJC student or staff member, the Sonoma County public library also offers a collection of online article databases. It offers free access to to all Sonoma County residents with a Sonoma County Library card.
