(Database was formerly called Grove Dictionary Of Art Online.) Over 45,000 scholarly articles on world art, with over 24,000 Web links to images and additional art-related information in museums, galleries and art collections around the world. Covers "all
aspects of the visual arts from prehistory to the 1990s," including
influences on the production of art such as trade, geography, history and politics. In addition to text, the database includes 100,000 searchable images from the Bridgeman Art Library.
