Book Donations

Books which are donated to the Library will be routed to the librarian(s) who select(s) books in the relevant subject areas for their approval. Books which the librarian(s) deem appropriate for the SRJC Library collections will be processed and cataloged. Books which are not considered appropriate for the Library collections will be donated to the SRJC Associated Students book sale.

The Library does not accept donations of old textbooks or of moldy, mildewed or insect damaged books.

We are not able to provide a tax receipt which places a value on the donated books, but for tax purposes, a letter will be mailed to the donor noting the number of paperback and hard cover books received from the donor.
