Archive
- This archive is a collaboration between the
Library of Congress, the
Internet Archive and
webArchivist.org. The collection
contains more than 5 terabytes of data gathered from September 11, 2001 to the
present, from thousands of government and military web sites, charitable
organizations, business and corporate, national and international news
sites, web portals like Yahoo!, advocacy and special interest web sites,
educational, religious and professional associations and individual or
volunteer websites. The archive can be searched by keyword, browsed by
category, or searched by URL (for example, to see all pages from cnn.com in
the archives). See also
Witness and
Response: September 11 Acquisitions at the Library of Congress, the
website for an exhibit which featured prints, photographs, children's
drawings, poems, eye-witness accounts and personal reactions, headlines,
books, magazines, songs, maps, videotapes and films added to the Library's
collections in its American Folklife Center, Geography and Map Division,
Area Studies/Oversees Offices and various other divisions of the Library.
- The September 11 Digital Archive
- A partnership with the Library of
Congress, the American Red
Cross Museum, and the Smithsonian Institution's
National Museum of American
History, this archive offers personal stories and e-mail related to
September 11, collections of still and moving images (photos, art, videos,
animation...), audiorecordings of voices on September 11 experiences,
documents such as fliers, reports and interviews, a portal to other websites
about September 11 and a collection of "9/11 FAQs."
- America's War
Against Terrorism
- From the University of Michigan Library's Documents Center, this large
collection of links offers information on many aspects of the September 11th
attack and its aftermath. Topics include specific countries and terrorists,
trials, New York, the economic impact of the attacks, psychological causes, psychological effects,
public opinion, refugees, the shadow government, victims, the airlines, the
Arab world, Arab Americans, the 9/11 Commission and many, many more. Categories recently added include terrorism suspects and prosecution, counterterrorism activities and issues, previous attacks, post September 11 attacks and background research on topics such as the Arab world, Arab-Israeli conflict, laws and regulations and staticstics.

- An excellent collection of links to websites on many topics related to
the September 11 attack and its aftermath. Topics include: The economic impact,
environmental impact and cleanup, first person accounts, artistic, literary
and musical responses, rumors & hoaxes, post-September 11 censorship
and freedom of information, the architecture of the WTC towers, rebuilding
lower Manhattan and the World Trade Center, and also Afghanistan, Afghan
women, peace & nonviolence, the Taliban, terrorism, and much, much more.
Sites were selected by librarians around the United States, and each item

Islamic History Sourcebook
- From History professor Paul Halsall, an extensive collection of public
domain documents and links to other websites on many aspects of Islam,
beginning

classical Islam, interactions with the West, Islamic nationalism and the

a wide range of stories about September 11." The museum collection, a work in
progress, includes
a variety of objects related to the September 11 attacks (photographs, the
cell phone used by Mayor Giuliani, personal objects recovered from
the World Trade Center, crushed file cabinets, cars,

Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001, S. Rept. 107-351 and H. Rept.
107-792
- In February 2002, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence
and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence agreed to conduct a
Joint Inquiry into the activities of the U.S. Intelligence Community in
connection with the terrorist attacks perpetrated against our nation on
September 11, 2001. This report (available as both S. Rept. 107-351 and H.
Rept. 107-792) consists of 832 pages that presents the joint inquiry's
findings and conclusions, an accompanying narrative, and a series of
recommendations. The FullReport (5.51MB, 858 pages) is available as a single
file, however, the files have also been broken down into smaller parts,
based on the table of contents.

This monograph examines the benefits received by those who were killed or seriously injured on 9/11 and the benefits provided to individuals and businesses in New York City that suffered losses from the attack on the World Trade Center.
