SRJC Liberal Studies Major

The Liberal Studies (Multiple-Subject Teacher Preparation) (Pre-Teaching) major is designed to provide the lower division preparation for multiple subject teaching in a self contained classroom, usually in elementary schools grades K-6. The classes in this major are aligned with a number of California CSU campuses, including Sonoma State University. Interested students are encouraged to work with a counselor about their course selection. Middle schools accept a multiple-subject credential, but require a supplementary authorization in an additional subject.
