Mission
The mission of Noncredit Programs and Services (NCP&S)
at Santa Rosa Junior College is to provide instruction
to older adults and persons with special needs,
and to support departmental and district wide instruction
with matriculation services, data collection, Chancellor's office liaison,
and to serve as a general resource to the college's noncredit domain.
It is the further mission of NCP&S to make its programs
the first choice of older adults, individuals with disabilities,
and other noncredit students in Sonoma County.
Description
- Provides instruction to about 5,000 older adults in courses
designed to serve the college's mission of lifelong learning.
Courses are offered throughout Sonoma County at over 80 different
sites.
- Provides independent living and vocational instruction
to nearly 1,500 persons with substantial physical,
developmental, and mental handicaps who would not otherwise receive it.
- Supports noncredit instruction districtwide through orientation,
advisement and counseling, noncredit course review and approval assistance,
and by regular data collection, analysis, and dissemination.

of Armory Drive and Elliott Avenue.
